Over 7,500 students across the two institutions undertook a local placement as part of their undergraduate or postgraduate degree, contributing over 3 million hours of work.

Research undertaken in both Universities delivered an economic impact of £444m across the UK last year.

An estimated 813 teachers and 916 medical professionals currently working in the local area were trained by the Universities in the last three years alone.
